What is happening in Libya?

People in Libya wants a change now, they started protesting for a change of president in a peaceful way looking for democracy, with no results. Their president, Muammar Gaddafi started mobilizing military power against the people, he said he wouldn't give up his power so easily.

Muammar Gaddafi has been the president of Libya for 32 years already, things aren't as good as before. The main thing they want is democracy, basically because they realized the things in their country aren't good as other countries, the decisions taken by the government are bad. So the thing the poeple want for his country is a presidential change, but Gaddafi didn't heard them and he said he wont give up the power so easily, the things started to get tense inside the country and Gaddafi started to mobilize his army against the people, after days where this happened every day, the international organizations preassured Gaddafi to resign the power, and Gaddafi said no, so USA sent troops against Gaddafi. And since that moment the country was in war both inside and outside. The political conflicts in Libya has direct impact with the rest of the world, as Libya is one of the most important producers of oil on the globe, and with this conflicts the production of oil has gone down, affecting the price of fuel, making it go up in other countries.

The president of Texaco, Felipinpon Besoain, told us, in a private interview, the following: "Of course this affects us, we only buy oil from Libya, and with this problem our production is almost none, and, as a consequence our prices are 333% higher than before this crysis; we are thinking about what to do with this difficult situation.
